                        Job Description: Part-time work that involved assisting the editor of the Center

Talk newsletter scan in images, manipulate their appearance, and add them to the layout.  Used Adobe Photoshop 5.0  and PageMaker 6.5 on a Macintosh.  Also troubleshot any problems that occurred.

 

Intern                          SoftBase Systems Inc, Asheville, NC, June 1999 – April 2000

Job Description: Wrote test programs in Java.  Implemented JavaHelp into existing product. Set up test machines (OS/2, LINUX, SUN, Macintosh, Windows 2000, NT, NT Server, 2000 Server, & 2000 Advanced Server). Used Visual Café 4.0.

Reason for leaving: Hired for only a 90 day intern position.

 

Maintenance              Greystone Inn, Lake Toxaway, NC, Summer of 1994

Assistant                     Job Description: Helped upkeep Inn.  Painted the exterior and several rooms.

Maintained grounds by planting flowers, removing debris, and doing other

landscaping work.

Reason for leaving: Hired for only a temporary  position.
