I met my dad at the Annual Tractor Show earlier today. I only had a t-shirt on which was fine for the first couple of hours, but a front moved through and it started getting chilly. We walked around a looked at all of the classic tractors, cars and engines. There were plenty of hit & miss engines which my dad really likes. They don't hit or fire on every revolution like most engines. There is a fly-wheel to keep them going but they only hit when they need to.
We found this classic motorcycle from the 20's that looked like it was all original parts and still ran.
BBQ was our lunch for the day with a huge pile of fried taters. We didn't come close to eating all of the taters that they piled onto a plate for us. We had a chicken bbq sandwich from one vendor and then decided to have a pork bbq sandwich from another.
There was also a tractor pull where tractors of all types and weight classes would attempt to drag a sled as far as they could. The sled had concrete weights in the back of it which moved forward the farther you went. There are wheels on the back of the sled, but just a skid on the front so the farther the weight moves forward, the harder it is to move it. Most tractors had enough power to move the sled after they stopped but not enough traction or tractor weight. Some did really lose power after a pull though.
Yes, I had one. No, I don't know why.

Oh wait, maybe it is because "its so bad".

I did nothing this weekend and nothing was good. I left the apartment twice and that was just for food. I ended up playing a new game called Evil Genius.

It is a lot like Dungeon Keeper where you create an base and have little minions do your bidding. You can't control them directly, but you try to give them anything they would need so they are happy. Meanwhile spies try to infiltrate your base and either steal back world treasures or set off bombs. There are lots of nifty things like traps, alarms, prison cells, etc. The game has the old 60's spy movie feel to it. It is a lot of fun, but becomes repetitive like most simulation games.

I know that this looks completely like a scam and I don't blame anyone for not signing up, but it appears as if you can get a free IPod. You do have to sign up for some type of service, but all seem to be cancelled easily.

Here is a good Wired News article about it.
The Screen Savers test out this site as well.
